A little about me...
I am a UKCP reg: Integrative psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor based in Waterloo, SE1 and Acton, West London with over 10 years experience working with individuals privately, organisations, and within the NHS.
I initially graduated from University of London, Goldsmiths College with a BSc.Hons Biology/Chemistry and embarked on a career in textile design and manufacture. I also had an interest in mental health which led me to volunteer for several years as a helpline counsellor for SANE, a national mental health charity.
From this grew a deeper interest in supporting people coping with mental distress and embarked an a career change to became a mental health advocate and manager.I eventually trained at Middlesex University, Metanoia Institute and qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist with UKCP accreditation in 2007.
I qualified as an Integrative Clinical Supervisor at Metanoia Institute and offer a clinical supervision service to trainee and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists and mental health professionals, such as MIND, and Ealing Abbey Counselling Service.
In addition, I have specialist trauma therapy training and experience in working sensitively and effectively with adults coping with traumatic pasts, events and childhood abuse issues.I worked within the NHS at the Traumatic Stress Service, Maudsley Hospital and also as Trauma Advisor and Critical Incident Debriefer for organisations including HSBC>
I also bring a body of knowledge and expertise of working with racial and cultural issues to my practice.
