Frequently Asked Questions
What does counselling involve?
The length of commitment will depend on the depth of work required.
The first session is an hour long and subsequent sessions will be fifty minutes. The appointments are usually weekly on the same day and time in order to honour the momentum of the process. During the first session we would discuss your issue, your needs and how I work. I can offer brief (6- 8 sessions )or long term frame.
The length of the agreement
The number of psychotherapy sessions that you will need will depend very much on the type of problems you bring. Many people find a short sequence of sessions sufficient for their needs but some may need a longer time to explore their issues in depth. Usually we start off with six sessions and then review to decide our next step.
