Qualifications
I attained a UKCP accredited Diploma and MSc(Distinction)in Integrative psychotherapy at Metanoia Institute, Middlesex University in 2007.
Experience
I have several years experience as a mental health advocate, and manager working alongside the NHS psychiatric units to supporting patients within the NHS mental health system. I also provide crisis and trauma support for large organisations, as well as supervision and training in aspects of mental health and wellbeing.
I have practiced psychotherapy for over 10 years, initially as a helpline counsellor for SANE, and subsequently as a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and counsellor, working within the NHS as a primary care counsellor and also as a specialist trauma psychotherapist at the Traumatic Stress Service at the Maudsley Hospital in South London.
My private counselling clinic is in Penge, South London, where I work with clients with a broad range of situations that they want to overcome including childhood trauma, through to work related stress and relationship breakdown.
Personal Approach
As an integrative psychotherapist I intentionally use the therapeutic relationship to assist your understanding of your internal and external world and help you make effective changes in your life. Many clients report feeling empowered, gaining clarity and liberation from feeling stuck.
