Psychotherapy is a talking treatment that can help people through emotional difficulties. Through speaking to a trained listener within a non judgmental and safe environment, you can begin to gain insight and mastery over your problems.
What Conditions Can it Help?
Psychotherapy is considered to work at more depth with more serious long-standing issues than counselling. I am qualified and ahve experienced success with people with serious traumatic and abusive histories as well as those needing a brief intervention to deal with a relatively less complex matter such as work stress or redundancy.
What Benefits can be Expected?
Clients that come for counselling often report a sense of clarity, and empowerment that helps them to feel "bigger " than the issue they brought. Inevitably they feel more confident, and able to move on to a more fulfilling life and relationships.

I have worked succesfully with depression and anxiety, stress, and bereavement, as well as relationship problems, trauma, and abuse.
